What should I major in, in college?

I plan on starting a safe home for LGBT children and young adults whose parents have disowned and/or kicked them out of the house. I would like to be the founder of a place where this children won't feel so alone and can be with people like themselves. What Should my major be in college and where do you suggest I go to college?

When looking forward to start a children's home, your education qualification could be a diploma in social works, S/NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social care and degree or diploma in Community Education. You may need to contact a Social Service agency such as the Department of Human Services to get the paperwork or rules that you need to meet. You need also to get a housing that meets licensing and inspection requirements. Learn more from http://www.ehow.com/how_5030108_start-disabled-group-home.html.

You would want major in social work. Talk to a counselor at your high school or at the nearest community college. The best place to start college courses especially if money is an issue would be a community college you will be able to get a two year degree, but you can transfer your credits to a four year college for a Bachelors degree.

I admire you so much for wanting to help these young people. I wish you the best.
