my hair is too dry.. And it's quite the bothersome

so, I naturally have curly/wavy hair. I've undergone at least four straights perm treatments throughout my life. I started in the 6th grade, and since then, my hair has been dry. I sometimes do oil treatments, but it doesn't affect my hair too much. I try to not take a shower everyday. I've recently joined swim, and my hair is getting even more dry.. :c After I take shower, my hair is well tamed. But after a few hours of drying ( I don't use blowdryers) , it gets frizzy, dry, and coarse. I usually tie my hair up in a bun and lie down to flatten my hair--this sometimes works. I just envy a lot of those girls with beautiful and silky hair... Is there a solution to this? D:

The chlorine is damaging your hair (I'm assuming you swim in a pool), so start using a leave in conditioner. You should try out coconut oil hair treatments weekly. They're one of the only oils that can penetrate into the hair shaft. I have naturally frizzy, dry hair and I'll use coconut oil and wrap my head up and sleep. In the morning my hair feels SO soft and sleek.

If your hair is curly, it needs a lot of grease. Wash your hair maybe once a week, and wear a swimcap in the pool. Also don't perm it, because that could fry it.

carry a spray bottle with water in it and when your hair starts to dry out, give it a squirt or two

try conditioner that is specifically for curly hair, regular stuff won't work on it. As gross as this sounds you might also try mayonnaise, its greasy enough that it might help. get a gentle shampoo for after you grease your hair with the mayonnaise, it made mine amazing but I don't have curls, just really really dry hair.

Use a breakage shampoo and conditioner. Also you can try to Aragon oil, it's great for your hair!
