Why does it feel like I have a beat in my stomach when I press on

Report as

If you are talking about hearing a heartbeat in your stomach, then you might want to know that it is due to a blood vessel in the abdominal area. The abdominal aorta is a large artery in the abdominal cavity. Being part of the aorta, you can probably guess that it's pretty large, so the pulse you hear is the pulse from the heart sending blood through this aorta.

Because your heart is beating. You have veins and arteries all throughout your body. Why do you think you feel a "beat" in your arms?
