How do you read an Amazon Kindle in the dark?
I would like to know what options there are for reading the Kindle in the dark.
The Kindle was specifically designed not to have a backlight. Doing so greatly reduces glare, making it possible to read for long periods with no eye strain or fatigue. Unfortunately, it also means an external light source is required. This article has a good overview (and is a great resource for Kindle owners):http://www.ereadernewsandreviews.com/kindle-questions-can-you-read-a-kindle-in-the-dark/It also recommends the Mighty Bright XtraFlex2 Light (here's an Amazon link):http://www.amazon.com/Mighty-Bright-XtraFlex2-Kindle-Version/dp/B002CMLDT6%3FSubscriptionId%3D06KMPSHEDSXXQMQVT482%26tag%3Daskcom-20%26linkCode%3Dxm2%26camp%3D2025%26creative%3D165953%26creativeASIN%3DB002CMLDT6
You can use a booklight. They sell them on the apple website.
I have an inexpensive clip-on light that I attach right to it when I want to use it at night.
