How do you fix hair that was burned by a straightener?

Report as

You should probably get it trimmed, set your flat iron at a lower setting , I had the same thing happen to me, also a ceramic iron is much better for your hair .

Use a silky serum on your ends to hide the burned ends until they can get trimmed and grow back out. Smooth it on your hair between your palms.

Always have your straightener on a lower setting. There is nothing you can really do to TREAT those burnt ends than trim them and use a type of heat hair protection before you straighten the hair you desire. I personally LOVE Paul Mitchell's Seal and Shine. It protects and adds a little shine. It's pretty expensive compared to cheaper ones found but it's totally worth it;)

Don't straighten your own hair if you don't know how.

Use a deep conditioner, split end corrector, and use a heat protectant. Or get your hair trimmed regularly(:

Cut the damaged part off, use smoothing shampoo if you want your hair to be straight and just blow dry your hair, there is no need to straighten your hair that much.

First of all you need to condition your hair, and avoid using heat on your hair until you can get a hair cut. Once your hair has been cut still avoid using heat for about a week to give your hair chance to gain back its natural oils. If you wish to continue heat styling your hair, maybe give it a break once or twice a week and use heat protection spray.
One of my friend had the same problem, and already having short hair meant she didn't want to cut much shorter. She use:
Treseme heat protection shampoo and conditioner. And also the 5 minute deep conditioner by treseme. They work brilliantly but I still have to give her hair a break every so often.

Make a DIY hair mask I prefer the avocado, honey, and olive oil one. Use 1/2 cup of olive oil, 2tbs of honey, and 1 avocado. Massage it into your scalp and put a towel or a cap over your head and let it sit for 20-30 minutes. Then shampoo and condition your hair. make sure you really get it out or your hair will be oily the next day. Do this every week for about a month. Also trim your split ends, and next time you use your straightener use a lower setting and use a product that protects your hair from heat. Or just simply don't put any heat on your hair because it can be pretty damaging. I hope this was helpful to you!!(:
