That sounds right. I just finished softball, I'm a pitcher and I'm now already jumping right into soccer and I run.

you should take time after your activity (20 minutes or so) to ice then put heat on your knee joints. it will help with the pain and help you perform better out on the field :)

I was too, 100M in 10.2 seconds.

you need to get yourself some knee support or go through what I am with surgery.
You are wearing the cartalidge down on your knee joints.

What would happen if I did neither? Just wondering cuz this has been going on for a while.

Well I was like you, very athletic when I was younger. Had minor knee pains and thought it was nothing, now I pay for it. Had surgery on both knees and now wear a brace on 1 all day. If you don't get some kind of support for your knees you'll only cause further damage. It is a very common thing for runners to need knee support when they get older, it puts a lot of stress on your joints.

Pain is usually an indication of a problem. It is your body talking to you and saying somethings wrong. Could be the way you bend, arthritis, torn meniscus, obesity. Best course of action is to see a doctor.
