How do you ask your mom if you can go on a date?

Ok, so my mom knows i hav a boyfriend, but where i live you dont rilly go on dates at my age, you just consider yourselves "together". And me and my bf wanna go to the movies together and his mom would probably let him, but i dont know if my mom will let me go on an actual date. And i know she's fine with me having a bf, but i dont know if i'm allowed to go on dates so how do i ask her if i can??

You should be very honest to your mom about this situation; don't beat around the bush. Just go like "Hey mom, there's a guy at school that I really like, and he asked me out on a date." Be affirmative and go on, "I was just wondering if I could go. Please."

Be honest, and if she does say NO, understand where she is coming from as a parent. Be mature and responsible, knowing that whatever her answer maybe it's a good answer for a reason and one day you will definitely understand. Also be creative and rent movies on Demand or at video store and order in food, to have fun, but yet keep your mom comfortable and keep an eye on you.

Ask her to talk and explain yourself. If you're under 15 she might have an issue with a one on one date but dropping you off at a Saturday afternoon movie with your BF and picking you up afterwards is safe enough.

say "you know my bf right well he wanted to know if we could maybe go to the movies,Please" she might say something like
1:"what time"
2:"what movie"
3:"what day"
or you could say"can i please go to the movies w/ (his name) on (what day)"
Again she would probably say 1 2 or 3 you answer and she will either say "yes" or "no"
b.t.w ALWAYS say please
or you could do a mixture of the two
" mom, you know my bf can we please go to the movies on (what day)"
If she says 1 you might wanna go early (so u have a better chance)
and if she says 2 you might not want to see a scary one(so u have a better chance)
AND if she says 3 you might not wanna go on a school day(so u have a better chance)
does that help?

Speaking as a Mom (and Grandma) I think that honesty is ALWAYS the best way to go. You want your Mom to know that you#039;re trustworthy, so you need to prove that you are. How? Start with simple, daytime dates, such as going out for lunch together and maybe a matinee. Double dates and group dates would probably quot;go overquot; better with your Mom, and, frankly, they are safer for you. I know going on your first date is a big deal; it#039;s a big deal to your Mom, too, trust me! Compromise is always an excellent tool to keep the peace in any family.
