How about that? Another example of how religion doesn't really ease apprehension at all. You know? Everything religion claims it's good for, it's not really that good for it.
Not necessary for love. Not necessary for hate (although it certainly helps that one along) Not necessary for curiosity. Not necessary for kindness. Not necessary for selflessness. Not necessary for happiness. Not necessary for sadness. Not necessary for understanding. Not necessary for meaning.
Can't really think of a single thing religion helps the religious do, that the nonreligious can't do for their lack of it. Can you?
I would say it means you're scared you're not doing good in life that you're not doing enough good. i suggest doing something for charity, giving away X amount of money to a charity, volunteering once a week at a soup kitchen, or doing some community work. something you definetely need to do is make sure that when you come into contact with people, its a positive experience. it will amke you feel better about life and it will help others
Maybe it's saying you aren't ready because most people on earth don't know what's taking place and who will make it. So many won't. I think the only ones truly ready are in the ground don't worry about it.
The best way to overcome a fear of the end of days is to be spiritually prepared for it. First and foremost, you must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ in order to have eternal life (John 3:16; Romans 10:9-10). Only through Him can you receive forgiveness of sin and have eternity with God. If God is your Father, there's really nothing to worry about (Luke 12:32). Second, every Christian should live a life worthy of the calling we have in Christ. Ephesians 4:1-3 teaches, "Walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace." Knowing Christ and walking in His will go a long way towards diminishing fear of any kind. Third, Christians are told what will happen in the end, and it's encouraging. Whats ready? We're human. If you mean perfect then no ones gonna be 'ready'. Christs return will be a surprise to us all. I doubt you are any less ready than the rest of us. Even those foolish enough to think they are ready have enough, perhaps more, sin in their life that they are fooling themselves. What you need to do is relax. Talk with God. If there are places in your life you need to clean up then ask Him to show you. The nightmare is more a sign of anxiety than a warning but it might be your own concience bothering you.
I keep having a dream that there is a massive alien invasion and they steal my dog. I don't think that my dream is any more of a warning than yours.
A lot of scientists believe that dreams are a way of sorting out and removing junk from you memory, which is why most of the time we forget our dreams. I suggest you try and forget about this dream and any of the scary junk that people try and fill your head with.
