I did 50 calves raises yesterday and now the part under the back of my knee hurts. Is that supposed to happen? Does that mean it's working?

Yes! You are starting to get taller if you didn't notice. And fat is burning. You are going to be sore for a while but believe me! It's working!

Ur tall like me! :D It most likeley is because you didnt stretch; when ever I would go for a run or a bike, my legs would feel very sore after wards. Because you young this is normal, just stretch before you exercise next time.

It means you didn't stretch afterward and now you have tightened muscles. Try stretching them very slowly and gently. Also if you work it more it should help. Warm packs or warm baths with gentle massage will help. You have to stretch before AND after. I didn't stretch after my workout yesterday and have quite a bit of pain as well.

You're welcome. When you strengthen a muscle it shortens, tightens. And if you don't stretch afterwards it stays tight and causes pain afterwards.

Calfs are not sopposed to be sore after exercises. You thighs and hamstrings hurt because you pulled them somehow. Be careful next time and to fix this: eat a protein bar or shake. Or fish. Protein will heal, repair, and buildup the muscles you pulled you exercised.
