Am i freaking out?

i was bitten by my friends dog before and i told him and his sister to keep it secret so the dog did not get killed. i kept this hidden from my mom as well. i was invited over to the house for the weekend while the parents will be away. the dog is in the cage now with a blanket over the cage. i can hear it moving in the cage but i feel like its trying to get out.
my friend is sleeping now but i do not want to wake him up. he started running for me earlier but i jumped in the truck fast enough to escape. i want to make sure i do not cause any unneccesary problems so i feel like i should keep quite. what should i do? i am not afraid of the dog but i am worried for it and myselfe. it is a large black dog i forgot the name of breed

You shouldnt be scared that much my friend actaully had her arm halfway bit off by a dog she had known for a long time he grabbed her arm between his teeth and shook her heck if the dogs teeth had moved any closer to one of her viens she would have bled to death but she is recovering and doing well so just be caareful

also i love animals so much that if the dog does die i know its mostly my fault and i would injure myselfe over regret because of this. no i do not cut myself but i have a deep feeling that if theese things happen i will

Cutting yourself in frustration if anything DID happen will not make the matter any better love.
You have some deep seated anxiety you need to deal with in a healthy way about this.
Ask if the dog can be in another room.
He senses your anxiety and feels dominant over you.
That is why he chased you.

when i got bit he did not recognize me because i had not been their for many weeks. this dog is timid and i think attacked out of fright. i did not do anything but he freaks out. i have never hurt myselfe intentionally but i do not know what my limits are. i am guessing that when it comes to the death of an animal that i may have played a hand in that might be it.

I understand why your afraid. Just lay there and ignore the dog and close the door. If the dog is in the same room just wake your friend up and tell her to move the dog in a different room

If it comes at u u take a cover put it over it and tackle it but that's not likely the cage will keep the dog in trust me cages are durable but noisy and even if the dog gets out it won't see u since its covered by a cover just don't worry

i can not be sure what it is doing in there. it seems to be awake and the door was flimsy or something so they have some kind of band around it.
