How can I get contact addresses for directors/producers? My Daddy wrote a book I now have full rights to and I think it wld mk a great movie

It is called Jake The Woodsman and is written as his (my Daddy's) life experiences, thoughts, beliefs, etc. from childhood on and his adventures in the woods and living on in the Ozarks in the 1930's- 1950's. It contains some funny stories, jokes, and is wholesome, much like "The Walton's." I'm thinking of sending it to Ronnie Howard, and taking suggestions for ppl who do great works on subjects of that type. Is there a way to get their mailing addresses so I can send a copy of the book for their consideration? Only serious answers, please.

In order to take you seriously I think you would have to get a agent first. I am sure the people like Ron Howard and Steven Spielberg get tons and tons of unsolicited manuscripts which they probably can't read because of Union regulations. I guess since it is already in book form you should start with a literary agent. Good Luck.

Wow! I thought people (stars) got presents in the mail all the time from their fans. I hear them often say on talk tv that a fan sent jewelry, DIY stuff, homemade food, even! So, I just thought I could send it as a gift and he could do with it what he wanted. Maybe president of their fan club or something? Still open for serious answers. Thank you, annie19mar, that was very helpful, though depressing '). I appreciate you taking the time to answer :)

I was also thinking even if Union regulations aren't in effect, the producers might be getting hundreds of manuscripts a year. They just don't have time to read all of them.
