How did Achilles die from being shot in the heel?

He got shot in the tendon by his heel. It sounds like it would hurt, yes, but you wouldn't die from that...

You are right ! After reading about six books on the War with Troy, all mention he was only killed because it was a poison arrow.

Well duh its simple... when Achilles was young his mom went down into the underworld and dipped in the river stix a river that makes you invinceable well she held him by the heel so that part diddnt get dipped so that was his weakness so when he got shot there it killed him because it was the only mortal Place on his body
