YES! YES! YES! I live in an area with clay soil, it's hard to grow anything, rocks thrive though. most neighbors know, trying to dig a hole is quite a job. If you can get the rock out, you will have, a hole big enough to plant a tree, or bush. As I got older, my health problems got worse I started planting 'Succulents' and 'Cactus', asking for cutting from the neighbors. Sometimes as I walk by, a piece will 'fall off'..LOL
Absolutely. However, some varieties of succulents can grow quite large and/or spread which mean that after a while they require maintenance to keep them in check. There are, though, many varieties that remain small and/or spread slowly. I've maintained a landscape with a lot of succulents for the past 40 years and love them.
