My wife is 14 week pregnant and she didn't work for 3 years due to 1st child care. And she can't get Maternity allowance. What to do? Thanks

We do claim Child benefit and working tax benefit. And all my money spends on bills.

If your wife is pregnant and cannot get Maternity Allowance, then you can try to get financial help from Supplementary Welfare Allowance Scheme. This scheme helps you to get payment done for certain expenses including emergency situations. See if you qualify for WIC and food stamps. Even if you don't qualify for food stamps before your baby's birth, you may likely qualify for WIC. It will help with food for your wife and child until after your child's birth.

WIC continues to help feed your children for quite a few more years, and if your wife breast feeds, it will include extra food for her for about 6 months or so after the baby is born.

She can work now and see if a family member can watch your kids while y'all work. Budget money better so you can send them to daycare if a family member isn't available. You could also get a second job. It is always better to work and pay for your own instead of mooching off the government (aka we the taxpayers fund).

The second job has to schedule for when you can work. I know auto parts stores and walmart does. A lot of men out in the working world goes without seeing their kids while they work and provide for the children they brought into this world. It kinda goes with the territory when you bring something into this world you have trouble affording. Time to cut costs down, get rid of extra costs that you can live without, like satellite or cable, internet, downgrade smartphones down to the basic, things like that. It all adds up so you can do it without the governments help. I know I felt better about providing for my kids without financial help of others and use of government. It will be hard but y'all can do it.
