How long does total knee replacement surgery take

Report as

The surgery takes about 4-6 hours on average (my father had an 8 hour surgery, but in the end both legs were the same length).

The in-patient recovery time is about 3 to 7 days and the rehab is measured in weeks and months depending on the situation.

Total knee replacement surgery takes anywhere between two and six hours. This is mainly because each case is different. After this surgery, most people take from two to six weeks on crutches. Read more from http://www.emoryhealthcare.org/orthopaedics/become-patient/faq/knee-replacement.html.
