Do paintballs hurt when you get hit

Report as

Yeah. That's why paintball players wear a light form of padding and thick goggles. And even then if they hit you the right way, they leave a fairly large bruise.

If you wear at least a bit of protective clothes it doesn't hurt.

Yes. They can leave bruises, and always wear eye protection. I had a friend lose and eye to a paintball (no joke)!

I dont Think it hurts so bad, just keep in mind to use goggles and padding. It may hurt the first time but you'll get used to it and as 082151 said it depends on the velocity and the area of Contact.

Yes. Within 20 feet it's gonna leave a big and painful bruise farther away it's still gonna hurt.

Paintballs will hurt the first few times you get hit. Most people get nervous their first time playing, and the anticipation of getting hit will make the actual pain feel worse. I used to play every weekend for a while, and I got used to the feel of getting hit. It's true that some people do bruise, but in my experience, most hits won't leave any sort of mark unless you get hit from within 15 feet. Also, most / all paintball parks should let you rent protective gear. This gear will help a lot. Lastly, the size or shape of a paintball gun shouldn't scare you. I used to be creeped out whenever I saw a giant, military styled paintball gun. Even if some paintball guns are more powerful than others, all good paintball parks will set a limits / standards on the speed setting of your paintball gun (how fast your gun can shoot a paintball0.
