Is it worth the trouble to sue the doctor for leaving a screw in my ankle? What do i have to go through?

I broke my ankle in Louisiana when i was little had a plate and 7 screws. I moved to Arkansas and had it removed. Its been at lease 7 years n just found out i have a screw left and it can be the reason why its bothering me. I want it taken out but can't afford it and the doctor never told me it was left in.

If it is bothering you, you can talk to the doctor who performed the surgery. However, you need to talk to a lawyer who will direct you on the best course of action you should take before coming to a conclusion.

If its like jammed in your foot, just use tweezers or if you don't have any tweezers just by some.

. That is not unusual, most times you hear of sponges left in the area. A lawyer would be your best bet. You don't want that screw in there if there is a possibility of it becoming a "floating body" like a bone chip.
