Weird problem! Help?

I am 13 and a girl. I have a problem. When I go to bed, it is pitch black and suddenly every scary thing have ever experienced rushes to my brain. I just shut my eyes and try to sleep, and eventually I do. But I would still like to banish the weird feelings. My parents don't allow me to keep any lights on or wake them up/sleep in their bed. Help! PS no nightlights either!

Could you sneak a flashlight into your bed?
Do you believe in God? Praying might help.
Can you take a stuffed animal or two to bed?

That's how I am. Like I see shadows and figures and its just pitch black! I always say my prayers and close my eyes and try to picture the first good thought in my mind or I listen to music until I go to sleep. I now dance or do exercises before I gob to bed to tire me out. I hope I helped and remember its just your eyes and mine playing tricks.

Omg i have the same problem and i see things and it freaks me out. Try to fall asleep tonight but tomorrow talk to your parents about it! Seriously just like say to your most sensitive parent how scared u r in pitch black and they will give you a light or something!

Try sleeping with lots of stuffed animals and listening to music. I have a toy dog that I have had since I was less than a year old and I still have him all these years later to protect me from the invisible monsters and scary shadows :)

Maybe it's the darkness that is scaring you. Think about placing glow in the dark stickers on your ceiling if u can... like stars, planets or get one of those glow in the dark pillows and maybe you'll have a better night sleep.
