What food/drink actually helps you to lose weight?

I've heard certain milkshakes work, but which ones are they and how well do they work? And what foods?

Healthy food.
Practice portion control.
Eat every three hours.

Here's a sample meal plan:
BREAKFAST:
Oatmeal with some strawberries
SNACK:
Boiled egg with string cheese
LUNCH:
Grilled chicken salad with all the fixing and a light dressing
SNACK:
An apple
SUPPER:
Baked fish, brown rice, corn
SNACK:
Yogurt and some grapes

I didn't ask this question before. The other one was 'What exercises or cheats can help to lose weight?' not the same thing.

No food works wonders immediately.. take only fresh salads containing raddish,beetroot,carrot and tomato every morning and dinner.... It really helps to shed the extra fat if followed consistently for atleast a period of 15 days....
