If you can find out why they hate you, you can try to explain/correct the situation. If they just dislike/hate you on general principles, you're pretty much stuck. Don't change to be what this person wants; it may not work and even if it does, then you have to continue being a "fake" person.
I guess the old saying " kill em with kindness" it can work depending on the reason they dislike you. Sometimes no matter what you do people will hate, you need to figure out if it's worth a shot. Regardless, just be nice when you see them. Like they say, it'll make them crazy!

The advice found at Romans 12:17,18,20,21 is a good start, it reads: "Return evil for evil to no one. Provide fine things in the sight of all men.If possible, as far as it depends upon YOU, be peaceable with all men....But, "if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty' give him something to drink; for by doing this you will heap fiery coals upon his head." Do not let yourself be conquered by the evil, but keep conquering the evil with the good." The term "heap fiery coals upon his head" is a figure of speech drawn from the method of smelting metals in Bible times. Ore was put into a furnace, and a layer of coals was put underneath the ore and also on top of it. Fiery coals placed on top increased the heat so that the hard metal melted and separated from the impurities in the ore. Similarly, by doing kind deeds to an enemy, we may "melt" his hardness and bring out his better qualities.
