How to stop eating when you are down/depressed/bored?

Force yourself to get out and go for a walk or run. Not only does it get you away from food but it releases endorphins which will help you get out of your funk.

Get out and do something else you enjoy! Or drink a glass of water instead of getting a snack. I also chew gum when I know I'm not really hungry.

when your bored you just watch tv,go on a jog get your mind set on something.depressed/down think"how is eating gonna help me get your mind off it, I don't know about you but I will usualy punch something

you must have discipline, if you want to eat more , try veggie and fruits and try to overlook what will be the outcome if you posses overeating. Depression could make you ugly, unless you want to become ugly

play games online, go outside, eat out, check out if your favorite show is on tv and relax.

You can't; that's the problem. When you're bored or depressed, you're going to think that you're hungry or you're gonna want to do something. And if eating is the only thing you can do, then that's exactly what you're going to do.

If you have a dog, take him for a walk, if not go by yourself. Talk to your neighbors.

Put in a supply of celery and carrots, great munchies. Celery is a net negative calorie, as it takes more to chew than they provide.

I've worked with a number of folks for weight control out of boredom or stress and hypnosis works quite well. It's simply a matter of changing your mind. Look into it. It works.
