Yes. Although sometimes difficult it can help you network with other pilots which can be beneficial. I wouldn't look for work at a major airport but a smaller one, preferably where your instructor flies out of.

This is because, should you ever want to do a course like masters in aviation management, you need to have worked in the aviation industry. The salary is dependent on which kind of job you get and whether you are a casual or permanent employee.
