I have the ipod, its nice because its like the iphone, except without the phone part. The cost is close to the same. The only drawback with an iphone or ipod is that there is no expandable memory. that being said, the memory that comes on the device is all that you are going to have to work with. You will not be able to add a micro SD card to the device if you need additional storage space for your items. Also, you need to look at long term as well. With the iphone, you are stuck with a two year contract, plus with the various storage sizes that the phone comes with (8 GB, 32 GB, 64 GB) the cost of the phone will vary. Same for the ipod. It just depends what you want to use the device for. If you want to just listen to music, watch movies, and play games- then get an ipod. If you want to do all that, plus make phone calls, then get the iphone. I personally went with a windows phone because I didn't want either apple or android this time around for my new 2 year contract. I couldn't be happier and my ipod touch... is collecting dust somewhere.
