A question for bible believers and christian's about wise man king solomon..
note:- anybody can answer but with some logic:-)

If 'king solomon is the wisest man to live on earth(also nobody is wise as him before or after on earth)' as stated in bible, why we modern people don't study his ideas in various subjects? Why his research, discoveries, in various fields of education not stated or. In other words what did he actually discovered or found if he is as wise stated by the bible?

The dictionary defines wisdom as "the ability to discern or judge what is true, right, or lasting." This is a theme that is recurring throughout the Bible. We know that Knowledge, on the other hand, is defined as having information through experience, reasoning or acquaintance. God wants us to have knowledge of Him and what he expects of us. But equally important is having wisdom. Knowing facts about God and the Bible is not all there is to having wisdom. Wisdom is a gift from God. James 1:5 states "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Wisdom is what God will bless us with in order for us to glorify Him with the knowledge we have of Him.

The Bible states that King Solomon was the wisest man to ever live on earth. His wisdom was granted to him by God when he was promised whatever he asked for. He is not studied in various subjects either due to lack of supporting materials about his life. He had skills in architecture and management, which transformed Israel. He did not make known discoveries during his time. Go to http://christianity.about.com/od/oldtestamentpeople/a/Jz-King-Solomon.htm.

Wisdom does not mean inventing electricity or finding the cure for polio. Wisdom is understanding things in a different level than most. It's insight into how things are and why. More philosophical than anything.

More targeted mythology. The only things Solomon is known to have created are countless offspring, an immense fortune, and a temple to himself. He may have been the wisest man of his time, but considering few people were literate or had any education at all, this is not that significant of an accomplishment.

Wisdom does not mean he discovered scientific things. It meant he had morals.

Solomon was a great King not an explorer or scientist. He ruled his kingdom and dealt with his people and family wisely. Most of his reign was a time of peace and great prosperity. He had rulers from all over that part of the world as guests and people sought him out for help with many issues. He was one of the best rulers in history. Recall this is WAY back before universities or even schools for the most part. Science as we know it didnt exist. It was still a fairly primitive era. Great scientific and social and educational inventions and discoveries were centuries away still. Wisdom isnt always equated with study and invention. Wisdom is not learned. Wisdom is something someone has or dies not. In fact its been my observation that there tends to be a direct inverse relationship between IQ and wisdom. In other words the smarter someone is, especially in specific fields, the more foolish and unwise theybtend to be otherwise. As if all that brain space used for smarts doesnt leave any room for wise thought and action.
Some of the wisest people in history have often been some of the poorest and not always the best or most educated. Wisdom is inate and grows thru observation and experience and internal reflection not necessarily thru formal education.
From ductionary, first definition:
Wisdom -the quality or state of being wise; knowledge of what is true or right coupled with just judgment as to action; sagacity, discernment, or insight. -
This does not come from formal education but from within. A wise man is not necessarily a scientist or inventor or whatever. Some wise men are politicians (very few these days) or artists, or the beggar sitting by the gate.
Anither reason we probably have no more writings from Solomon is firstly that the temple was eventually destroyed and everything in it stolen or burned. Secondly any surviving scrolls from Solomons temple likely went to private collections or possibly into the great Library at Alexandria eventually. It was burned down too and all its contents. Theres no way of truely knowing how much ancient wisdom and knowlege was lost forever in the burning of that Library but it was known as a great scholarly repository filled with writings from all over the known world and from many ages.

Knowledge is gaining facts, wisdom is understanding and making correct, life decisions. We as people have turned from Wisdom to Knowledge which can be taught. Solomon asked God for wisdom and received it. Anything God does is the very best i.e.: Solomon's Wisdom.

Logic is ones ability to accept, in their own mind, what they believe is true or false.
