Why am I so sensitive and hard on myself? how can I stop being over sensitive? read info please....

I have always been super sensitive. I get very upset easily and beat myself down when things don't go as planned, which is all the time. this over sensitivity has made everything hard for me, I will get depressed about one thing for one week or more striaght were I will cry in secret every day after school. why am I acting like this? I can't control this. How can I control this? Is there anything I can do to stop being so sensitive to little things?

I do, but I am also feeling like my relationship with God is getting weaker, and this upsets me too because I don't know how to strengthen my relationship with God.

First you have to pray and read the bible that is how your faith will get stronger by reading the bible, you can have faith and confidence to Jesus is there for you to help you, Don't loose your faith

First of all you need to realize that you are yourself and you cannot re-create yourself. Learn to take things lightly and talk things over when they are not to your liking; tell yourself that it is just a small blip in the road.

If u plan something and it fails don't let it get to u its not the end of the world nobody is perfect. If u r sensitive u should try to act like it dosent bother then eventually it will be easier to over come

Sensitivity is a special gift that will help you in your future. Like Relationships and children and other possible community things you may get involved in. Let your tears be a release of emotions and a clearing of your spirit. You feel better and think better after a good cry. Accept your self as you are, as a beautiful and wonderfully made lady.

I like that alot and agree with you. Totally you can be very empathetic in the things you do. Think of it as a plus rather than a minus. I would try to have a good friend to confide in when times are hard. And realize we are all never perfect but learning and growing. You sound very insightful regarding yourself. Try to embrace your uniqueness rather than fight it. (sorry I mis pushed earlier and lost reply)

Thank you Linda and Sam for your answers, they made me feel so much better. I was so embarrassed about my over sensitivity before, that's why I cry secretly in my room(so nobody could see me), and never in front of anyone. you guys have helped me look at my over sensitivity more as a good thing than a horrible, and embarrassing thing(which I thought of it as). Thank you.

You need to realize life is to amazing to be depressed over little stuff think positive if your not happy try to smile anyway listen to music try not think about the negative things someone says something to hurt you brush it off life is to short to be depressed amp; sad I#039;m not sure if this helped but I#039;m just giving you my advice

I'm the same way but not as bad as that have you considered seeing a counselor (I refuse to say therapist)

Honestly, I would rather not see a therapist. I have been to a therapist before to see if I had A.D.D and I really didn't like it. Thank you for answering though. :)

Yah I used to go to a counselor too for anxiety and I hated it so I stopped going he didn't help me the least bit all he did was make me close my eyes think of a nice place and hold a vibrateyish thing. Some people it works for others it doesn't unfortunately it was just wasting my time...

Antidepressants have a horrible reputation, but they shouldn't. Talk to your Doctor, please. I was very depressed, then my first antidepressant gave me, I kid you not, creepy suicidal thoughts. My Doctor and my Pharmacist worked together and found me my solution. I'm so much better now!

I did. And I got over it with out anti depresssants. Why surpress it? Let it out, just in the right way. Mine was through visual art. My friends was through drumming and my grandpa's was through medical mumbojumbo. Do what make you happy and take all that rage and anger and sorrow and use it to you advantage!
