So my cpu fan has just started being really loud today, and I have no idea how to fix it.. It's never done this before.

Every time i turn my computer on about 5 minutes after it turns into a damn jet engine and only stops for a couple seconds every once and a while. I've tried downloading fanspeed but it wont install for some reason, that or it takes for ever to do so. And I've also tried going into the bios and looking for something to turn down the fan speed, but I can't find anything.. Help me please, I don't think I can game with this obnoxiously loud fan all the time.

There are quite a number of factors that can make the fan operate loudly. Some of them include; overheating, fan damage, loose power supply and noise from normal operation. If you have not used the computer for a long time, then it should be operating properly. Check the possible causes and consult a technician for assistance.

It's my every day computer that I use for gaming, I have a 600w power supply, a nvidia geforce gtx 560 ti graphics card, and the processor is an Amd athlon II x2 250. It shouldn't be overheating because I'm not even running any programs besides my web browser, and that's only using up like 3% of my cpu. I clean out my computer of dust every month also.

Like Norah said, but clean it out, take a duster to it. Make sure all the cords are attached, etc.

Might be time for a CPU fan then, what year is it?

2012, but I took out my cpu today when I was cleaning my computer and put it back in, and that's when my fan started being so loud. Could that be the reason it's doing this, because I took it out and put it back in?

Most likely, that sounds like it to me, you should take it out and check if you have broken any parts inside the fan. But if not, you might just wanna run it for an hour or so.

I'll try that, but if not I'm going to definitely replace this fan with a water cooling sytem when I get enough money.

That's the best bet, but how long has it been since you took it out?

Okay so I just took it out and let it cool for a while, I put it back in just now to realize that I didn't have the fan screwed in all the way, meaning that the thermal paste on the fan wasn't touching the paste on the cpu, I screwed it back in as tight as possible and now it's not being loud anymore, thanks dude I wouldn't have fixed this without you! :)
