Could you outrun an angry football player chasing you on a bike doing at least 25 mph for a minute or not?

Report as

If he didnt catch you in the first few seconds while you gained speed then maybe. Average human running speed is 12-15 mph short term and 5-8 mph long term. A minute is pretty long when running. Even allowing for his being faster than average to start he probably couldnt maintain sprint speed for a full minute. So theres at least a chance you could get away IF he didnt get you in those first ten to twenty seconds because he'd start running much more quickly than you could get the bike moving and up to speed.

Well the record human sprinting speed is 27 MPH with the average at 15-18. closer to 18 for athletes. so I'd say yes you could. the question is can you out run what he throws at you?

No and I wouldn't want to .I'd ride that bike right into those 25 men and say,"Let's talk about this"

Side fact: a grizzly bear can catch you if you're on a bike.
