1) Liver (if you can get past the taste!) Many people love liver and onions in a brown gravy. It's probably #1 in regards to iron. 2) Red meat- steaks. 3) Spinach. You are not limited to the stuff in a can! You can buy fresh spinach leaves in the produce isle. It's what I make a green salad with, because of its iron! Google "high iron foods". (;
I had anemia. (iron-deficiency) So my doctor told me to take iron vitamins. I was taking those. But then I stop. Because I was getting nausea and constipation. So I had to stop. Then the doctor told me to start taking food that has iron in them. He also told me to drink red wine more often as well. Even though red wine doesn't have iron in it, but it does helps a lot. It is good for your heart and your blood cells. So I drink at least one glass of red wine everyday. I hate liver. But I do love steaks. Lentils are also high in iron. And also fish. And mostly dark green vegetables. Like greens and kale.
