Why does my 2004 taurus temp gauge read normal, but when I stopped driving it today coolant bubble out and it hissed?

The reason your 2004 Taurus temp gauge reads normal while the coolant bubbles out and produces hissing sound could be due to the radiator overheating from a problem with the coolant system. This could mean that the thermostat or cooling fan switch is not turning the fan ON when hot. The hissing is from the radiator starting to boil over back into the overflow tank. You probably need to get a mechanic to help you fix the problem.
