Why can't i stop violently shaking my head and hands at random times and neck popping a lot?

At least 63 times a day. I'm about to go to the dentist and i need to be very still, but i can't. Any suggestions?

It sounds like a neurological disorder called TS: involuntary, intense, muscle contractions and bizarre vocalizations. You need to get to a doctor that is an expert on treating this condition (typically, a neurologist).

cancel your dentist appointment and make a doctors appointment instead so you can figure out what is going on.

For sure you don't want to go to the dentist like that!! I'd make an appointment with my dr instead. It could be serious or not a big deal but you won't know until you go get checked out. Don't ignore this, it wouldn't be wise.

It's probably to late. I'm already in the waiting room waiting for my dentist.

I don't think it's to late. The dentist will probably reschedule if its a problem and might advise you to see a dr as well. Either way when you get out of there you NEED to see a dr ASAP

well I don't think anyone but medical profesional could tell you, it could be a certain disorder much milder than seizure but in the same sense or it could possibly be terets, it could even be a change hydration/nutrition? hope this helps

I feel Superglide is on the right track; not sure if you'd need to see a neurologist-your own doc could refer you (has he or she not noticed, nor any folks around you?); there will be an answer, I believe, and help...I wish you well!

PS-just saw Cerebro's answer when I posted...that brainiac is gifted and knowledgeable; I noticed you didn't mention any unplanned verbal outbursts...just go see--maybe postpone the dentist?! Go well...

Tourette syndrome maybe? I was watching a documentary on possession, and people said Tourette had symptoms like moving or speaking at random times unwillingly :) you should go to a doctor :)

Please don't associate a real medical disorder with what some refer to as "possession."
