It's made by Apple Computers. They have retail stores throughout the United States. They don't just sell stuff, the often hold learning seminars on how to get the most out of a certain Apple product or software, AND they can fix problems with their products!!! I know this because my son works at " the Genius Bar" in our local store. He had to be trained & take a certification test, even though he's a natural-born computer nerd, to qualify for that promotion. My point is, they're good. If they can fix it, they will. If they tell you they can't, it's truly not fixable! Advice: you need to look up the Apple Store near you and call to MAKE AN APPOINTMENT first. You can walk in anytime if you're just browsing new products or needing to purchase something off their racks.
Well, it depends where you live. I have broken my screen twice- do an Internet search and you can find lots of private companies that just fix shattered screens without having to go through Apple and your contract and warranty and all of that hassle. My iPhone 4S screen repair cost $80, but the prices got cheaper for a smaller generation device. Hope that helps! :)
