My favorite is a "scrambled" veggie omelet. Chop some broccoli, tomatoes, fresh spinach ( and onion if you like). Lightly saute in a little butter or olive oil, then add 2 beaten eggs. When almost done, add some shredded cheddar cheese. I prefer to scramble mine as they're cooking rather than cooking omelet-style... They're too hard.
All natural peanut butter on an English Muffin is great for a protein boost. Plain shredded wheat is great- avoid granola- too much sugar.
Someone suggested honey- tiny bit is okay- keep in mind that this is sugar too. And flavored yogurts are high in sugar too.
If you keep your weight in check, and get regular daily exercise you should be okay.

Talk to your mom about your concerns. I'm pretty sure she'll listen since you're talking about the health of the rest of the family. To lower your sugar intake at breakfast, there's a whole lot of alternatives you could try; eggs w. toast, oatmeal and fruit, french toast w. honey, fruit crepes, vegetable omelets, etc., Be creative with reducing the sugar intake. Fruit is always a great alternative because it already has natural sugars inside that won't promote high blood pressure and/or diabetes.

I had a high blood sugar and the culprit was those fruit juices. I drink quarts a day because I work out a lot. No sugar is best.

Yogurt and fruit. I didn't used to like yogurt but they make some pretty good tasting ones now, especially the Greek types.

I recommend a whole grain or whole wheat bagel. Duncan Doughnuts and Panara have the whole grain ones at a reasonable price. Also whole grain is better than multigrain. If you get whole wheat check the ingredients because often sugar is added. If you get the cinnamon whole wheat bagels sugar is definitely added.
