Myth: Daddy-Longlegs are one of the most poisonous spiders, but their fangs are too short to bite humans . False. For true daddy-long-legs, the opilionids, the myth quoted above is certainly false, and for the daddy-long-legs spiders it is certainly not based on known facts. Actually, all spiders are poisonous, but that doesn't mean we're effected by all prisons. As for daddy longlegs, I am not sure if they're poisonous because they're not Arachnids, but opilionids. But the longlegs' fangs cannot pierce the skin, so their poisoning cannot hurt. Daddy longlegs rarely bite anyways.
poisonous aint the word its venomous and 9 chances out of 10 they will not hurt you ive picked up many they can sting but it really feels weak like someone touching you lightly with finger tip they cant hurt you my dad is an expert in that category
Absolutely. Daddy long legs are referred to as the most poisonous spiders on the earth. Although, they have fangs, their mouths are to small to bite. So while being very poisonous and psychologically harmful, are really just harmless. But that doesn't Change strong fear of them.
the daddy longleg is the most harmless insect ever. the myth that they are poisonous but too small to bite is completely false. they have no venom glands whatsoever, and are in fact not even spiders. I believe this myth derives from their great hunting skills, even though they have no venom. go ahead and eat one if you want! they are completely harmless to people.
