lol @ some of answers. if you want fast you need to pay more no matter which internet service you sign up with. if you are on a budget then 3G Clear is affordable but not fast and if you don't mind if it is fast or not. you need to shop around and maybe even call if you can for rates. good luck.
TPG is awesome for internet and home phone. For unlimited access with the internet, it is $60 per month which is somewhat expensive but there is also 150GB for $39.99 a month, 500GB for $49.99 a month and 50GB for $29.99 a month :)
You can get full-on broadband, up to 5Mbps, from Comcast cable or CenturyLink DSL, for just ten bucks a month. No, this is not a teaser rate, it's the every month rate. But it's only for those who are having financial difficulty..Unfortunately, that's million of people these days. If you are under 135% of the poverty level, or you receive government assistance (Medicaid, food stamps, SSI, housing assistance, etc), you can get CenturyLink's Internet Basics plan for $9.95. If you have a member of your household on the National School Lunch program, you can qualify for Comcast's Internet Essentials program. This last program just reached a milestone of one million people crossing the digital divide through their program. The FCC is also at the end of a pilot program of expanding the free government cell phone program to internet. And there are other regional programs. There are too many to list contact info for here. Search for the program names or see them all explained on http://www.cheapinternet.com, a site I've found very comprehensive on this subject.
