My estranged father died a very died in Illinois in 2000 he did not mention my brother or myself in his will , is that legal

Yes, it is legal, he may choose, as so can you, who will not be and who will be. In your position, it is very unfortunate, seeing as though you are his son.

There is no law against your father's choice of not including you and your brother in his will. However, the law supports his decision not to do so. The best thing to do is to seek legal advice and find out whether the will can be contested in court.
