What are the consequences that can result from being caught driving under the influence of alcohol or other drugs?

Report as

Depends on vehical. For instance, truck drivers. 40 years federal time. Federal means 80% of time you must do. Not half. Driving a commercial vehical under the influence, trafficking,(crossing state lines) and more. It also depends on what happens. You get in car wreck and kill someone it is no longer vehical manslaughter. Which is 4 years. It now holds a sentence of at least 10. I guess what i am trying to say is we can't stop you from putting these things in your body. But if you are,do the right thing for everyone else. Stay off the road. Think of a baby in a car seat. Do you really want to be responsible for hurting it? If you take away its mom or dad, or the babys life. There is a reason its illegal.

Loss of license, jail time, probation, higher insurance premiums, community service, fines and court costs, attorney's fees....And that's if you don't cause an accident.

You lose your license, your vehicle(s) (both auto, boat, and plane) registration is suspended. You have to pay around 10000 to 15000 in lawyers fees and fines. You will be prohibited access to excellent jobs. You will always have higher insurance.

Other than that, Not much.

You could get arrested, your license suspended, or even jail time. It mostly depends on the circumstances; suspended or expired license, DUI in a stolen vehicle, an accident due to DUI, etc.,

The consequence could be that you have to go on the bus for some time - that's if you still can afford a ticket after paying the fine.

Jail. Until then let us know when you're going driving again drunk so we can keep off the roads and our kids safe. Thank you.
