Please help, why am I crying like this?

Ok so I heard Talia the cancer patient had died this week, when I found out, for some reason I've been crying, mourning I've have no clue why, I mean I've seen her videos, I know to be upset but I mean it feels like, I'm her parents, I feel what they feel, it's so hard to explain like, when I see her I feel like crying all day as if I've known her, like actually known her, i don't know if I'm crazy or it's a ghost thing I don't know, all I know is that I don't feel normal please help, I'm in tears.

That's sad to hear. Talia was a beautiful person. It was never her lot in life to live long. What we can do for her is to fund cancer research. I miss her too and I think most of us who felt her will. Remember that she smiled and that she was a mostly happy girl despite knowing she will die soon. Learn from her. Know, not fear, know that one day you are going to die, and we will join her.

I know what you mean. When I hear someone's died, someone I've never known nor heard of before. I feel a strange amount of grief. just looking at obituaries. Just thinking what if, what if that was my mom or dad. Or sister or brother. I always found it saddening how fragile life really is. Here one minute, gone the next.
But the good you drag from this it that life needs to be appreciated.

Firstly, I'm sure her parents would find it offensive of you to say you feel like her parent.
.
Anyway, only if you become depressed or upset for more than a week should you be worried. About your "not normal" feeling, I think you're just recognizing your worry as an "abnormal sensation" when in fact it's just plain worry.
.
You seem very compassionate and that's a good thing. The girl's death is a sad thing (bless her and her loved ones) and it's normal to feel sad for her.

First, it's ok she felt compassion "as the girls parent"
Second, you're young Marcus and your arm chair psychology isn't correct or appreciate.

Your criticism has been read, albeit disagreed at. I have my reasons, especially for #1.

I've cried over people dying i didn't know. It's totally normal. Any death is sad, and Talia was amazing! Don't think you're crazy.

You had alot of interest in her story with great empathy. You did know her, you just hadnt met her. It's very natural for you to feel this way. It's sad to hear she lost her battle.

You have a gift of compassion. This gift allows you to view life and humanity as valuable. This is what Jesus feels for us. At times this means you will mourn for others, but compassion for people will also give you a feeling of great joy when you celebrate good moments in people's lives, more than what other people can allow themselves to experience. There is time for mourning and there is time for rejoicing. You are more normal than you know. If your heart didn't break for Talia then you can say that something must be wrong. In time, your mourning will pass. God bless.
