Is ibuprofen alone enough to overcome in severe toothache condition?

For Ibuprofen to work effectively you need to build up a level in your system. That means you need to take the correct dose for at least a day before it helps with any pain. Do not take more than 2400 mg in a 24 hour period though as it can cause serious liver damage.

No, but Clove Oil from the pharmacy or drug store is better than anbesol, call cvs pharmacy to see if they have it, if not, you can look at grocery store, i used to find it when i needed it

Ya. That is of course if a toothache is the same as getting 4 teeth cut out of your mouth... I got my wisdom teeth taken out and he told me to take 4 ibuprofen (800mg) 3-4 a day. It worked... But probably consult your doctor before taking over 400mg to make sure it's right for u.

Vanillia from your kitchen baking supplies works just like ambsol to numb tooth ache pain. I put some on cotton ball and put on tooth. Natural help, most everyone has some. So if in middle of night or cant get anything go get the vanilla.

Not for me..a half a percocet works for me..but remember they are an over the counter drug...if you're toothache is that bad, consult your dentist and he can prescribe some to you
