How long is you're cycle. Is it regular? The fact is that the window to conceive is always 14 days from the start of you're period. You have to give or take a few days because you're not going to always ovulate (release an egg) on day 14. So have sex a couple of days before and after day 14. You can check you're cervical mucus around this time. Its called the "stretch test" if you wipe out cervical mucus and it is stretchy between you're fingers (around day 14) the stretchier it is the more fertile you are. This mucus will start to thin out again and get watery towards you're period. Also there are ovulation tests that you can buy but kinda pricey.
Good luck! The average couple takes 6 months to conceive. (So they say) Source(s): To make this understandable....you're menstrual cycle whether 28, 30...ect days starts on the day you bleed. This is when you're lining of uterus is being shed and preparing to release an egg. So count day 1 as when you start to have you're period and then all the way up to day 14.
I have used the Natural planning method many times.
You need to try getting pregnant immediately after your menses. Though at this time you may not be fertile, you should continue for about a week. This is because the ovulation period can get the male sperms in the fallopian tube and fertilization would take place. You can as well count 14 or 10 days depending on your calendar before you try the process.
