Is it proper to go for such an awkward relation ?guidance please

I m younger of two sisters. my elder sister got married last month. I was friends with her husband's younger brother since 10 years of age. For some months I had feelings for him but was not sure about his feelings because he never told anything about it. During the wedding festival of my sister he confessed his feelings. Since that time I am in blues all over . But only thing that is stopping me is he is my sister's husband's younger brother. How would my parents react ? I am even hesitating to tell my sister that I am in love with her husband's younger brother. Shall it be an awkward relation or is it normal to go for this. Some serious response please

First off, you aren't in love, and there is nothing wrong with it. He is not a blood relative.

Being in love with your elder sister's husband's younger brother is not at all awkward. There're families where you actually have the sisters marrying guys who are brothers. I don't think there's anything wrong with it, because you'll have close family ties.

It could just be forbidden aspect that is making it exciting and such. It is not awkward to have relationship, but when you break up it will be.

The only thing awkward would be Thanksgiving dinner if it ends badly. With that being said, two of my dad's younger brothers married sisters. One marriage is still going strong 40+ years later, and one failed around 15 years in. One brother is pretty much an outcast, but that has been his decision, not the family's.
