My ex girlfriend called the police on me because I did not want to talk about what she wanted.

she only wants to argue and I get so tired of it. I am only there to see my infant son. i want all communication to be email so i have record. when we lived together she started hitting herself and threatened to call the police to tell them i was beating her so i would lose custody of my 8 year old son. she is bipolar I had to evict her because of this behavior. Her dad is always with her since she lost her DL years ago. she is desperate to try to make me out to be the bad father. however I am the one that petitioned the courts for the legal DNA test as soon as I knew she had him ( 2 wks later) via text picture. the mother is mentally ill and she is trying to ruin my personal record even though it is her with the bad police record and a history of violence the mother verbally attacked my now 9 year old son and then she and her father verbally attacked me at a Starbucks. they are crazy! the police showed up and took my statement as well It appears there is no protection or recourse for the one being falsely accused in FL. she is vindictive and reckless and I fear for my child's overall safety. any suggestions would be appreciated at how to remove this bogus DV charge that happened three weeks ago and is still open. no I was not arrested nor have I been served yet.

if you have not been arrested or there is no warrant, how are you sure there are bogus charges filed? just b/c the police took a statement doesn't mean charges are filed. you should seek the assistance of an attorney and either get custody and/or liberal visitation of your child. you will also have to pay child support to the crazy mother if you only get visitation. if you can prove her unfit, you may be able to get custody. maybe you should consider getting an order of protection so that you are not physically and/or verbally abused by her and/or her father

You probably should get lawyer. If you think child is in danger, or could be brought up badly that should be first priority.

Get a lawyer, file for majority custody. Keep record of each of these events, don't meet them anywhere except in public.

I will only meet with her in public. She verbally attacked my mother out of nowhere at another meeting. Then she accused my mother of instigating an argument. My name is not on the birth certificate yet She is procrastinating the mediation and now I fear she has taken my baby out of the country.

The only way is to hire an attorney and go thru the process to clear your name. Its going to cost you big money since lawyers don't work for free. You should have been more careful. That come from listening to the wrong head. You'll need a family lawyer to get parental rights maybe custody. This woman will be part of your life for years to come because of the child. There are no quick fixes. Sorry.

As everyone has said an attorney is a must. I would also take a witness with you anytime you have to deal with her and/or her family. Carry a phone with video capabilities and try to get any video of her harming herself (banging into walls and such) The more evidence you have the better.

Set up a surveillance camera when you are alone. Take them to court and present whatever you have as evidence.

You can contact child services and make them aware of your concerns, that will be on record, file for a restraining order against her and her father, and her false police reports are going to catch up with her, crazy or not, which doesn't look good for her either, the courts frown down upon that , she's wasting their time, and your son although only 9 is allowed to stress his concerns about her if he has any too.
