How to Get Over Your social Anxiety and fear of being touched in any way?

For the past 2 years, I have been in an awkward relationship with a guy I honestly LOVE. Him and I talk about actually dating all the time. We have only kissed once and it was amazing, even thought it only lasted a second. I have a bad case of social anxiety, as in I can't socialize with people very well unless I have known them for a very long time. I cannot stand being touched in any way, whether its a tap on the shoulder or a hug. Its sickening. I want to be able to hug the guy I love. I want to kiss him and hold hands and not have anxiety hold me back. I will not take any medication or prescription drugs to get rid of my anxiety, so I am looking for any resolves that do not involve medication/prescription drugs please.

I'm in the same situation, with the anxiety and not-wanting-to-be-touched. It's hard in public places. I don't know how to deal with that one so much. But for the social anxiety, O just tell myself that I will never see these people again, that they will love me no matter what, and that I just don't give a crap. It's a temporary fix. Slowly get into touching him, I suggest. Sit close to him, kiss him on the cheek, ease into it. Try to distract yourself from the awkwardness with his sheer awesomeness.

Go to a specialist like a therapist or a psychologist. They will help and not judge you!

Tell him and ask him to help you by touching you all the time. If you really love him you will get used to his touch and even long for his touch.

So are you saying that you have social anxiety AND you cannot handle being touched? The "touch" issue could be sensory integration dysfunction. You have an oversensitivity to touch. Do you happen to notice other "senses" you may be hyper sensitive to or even undersensitive? My daughter has social anxiety and always has, as well. (she is the one going into 9th grade) I have had to have her on anti-anxiety medication to help her be able to function. It was so bad for her, beginning in kindergarten, that she was unable to participate in anything at school. Unable to walk through the door of her classroom, unable to eat her lunch, use the bathroom, etc. I, also have her in counseling. I've been concerned of her going to HS with her social anxities. Been trying to get all the help I can for her. Can you explain more of yourself?
