Is there an end to Pi? (3.14)

Report as

No, there's not, but in 1985 Carl Sagan wrote a novel called "Contact" in which he had a mathematician extend Pi further than it had ever been taken before and, when he had gone far enough he found the means to contact an extra-terrestrial life form. It's a fascinating read and you might be able to find a copy at your library.

It's believed to be irrational, but so far no one found a 'repeating' part of Pi. Who knows, maybe it'll finally end in 2121 or something...
