I'm super depressed and whenever people tell me 'just be positive and things will get better' I hate life even more, what actually helps?

I'm not suicidal, just super depressed and can't find a will to live/point to live. I have huge issues with my parents (Im in my freshman year in high school so I can't move out and their not bad enough to the point where I would try yet). I just am sick of hearing 'positivity makes everything better' and just want help with ideas of how not to be so depressed.

Find a day in the week like a Saturday or Friday afternoon etc. and let yourself go. Have fun with a few friends at the mall and goof off. Or hang at the park or just walk alone. Whatever makes you comfortable and happy. Find whatever is making you depressed and try to find ways to minimize the problem with close friends or relatives.

You need to have a new social life. Make friends and be outgoing and this will relieve you from the depression. Trust someone who you can talk to and that will make you relieve the burden from you.

Find something to live for. either it's goal in life, or people you hold dear.
and try to find a way to solve your issues with your parents
