I want to live with my dad but my mom won't let me. I don't want to go to court and sleek to a judge because I'm thirteen and I'm really shy

she says over her dead body she will. I really want to live with my dad.

Let your dad speak with her and tell her that you want to live with him, that he agrees to have you. Then you tell her that you are leaving and packing your things. Tell her you live her but you are old enough to decide which parent to live with. Tell her you want to go with her blessing and a good relationship rather than anger and separation. Tell her you want to try it and would want to return if it doesn't work out. Tell her you need her to let go and understand that you need time with your father at your age. Good luck be kind to your mother and call her daily.

You are of legal age to decide. Tell your dad. Then let him deal with it.

Convince your mom to agree, say that it will help me a lot.

I was in the same situation last summer . My mom didn't want me to leave , but I really needed to . You need to get your point across to her . In a respectful way . Have a heart to heart talk . And make sure it's really what you want . She's your mom . So she doesn't want to let you go . But if she thinks its better for you she'll do the right thing .

I don't know man, I moved in with my dad when I was 14 and I have to say it is probably the worst decision I've made in my life. Now I'm 17 and can't wait to find a way to get out of here when I can. We are financially unstable from time to time, and it isn't good. Just make sure it is the right decision, as you can tell, I hate it here.

You are only 13. This decision is up to the court/adults.

Maybe your mom has a valid reason as to why you shouldn't live with your dad. Or, maybe she just likes the money she gets from your dad. You should ask her.
