Not suppose to. Um. I never really cussed even when I wasn't christian. A person who can't talk without it, isn't and doesn't sound intelligent at all. And if you don't believe, record a conversation with someone who uses the f bomb every other word. Then really listen to it. Um, this is something my Grandpa told me when I was young and he caught me cussing. It stuck, and so not really a problem I have articulating things without cussing. I know some Christians slip, but if they use all the time they are not walking with the Lord. So, they may say they are christians, more like was until they get right with the Lord again. You shall know a mans heart by the fruit he produces. It's not Christ like, therefore you know were he stands in his walk.
Christians are a work in progress. They are guilty of a lot of things. Doesn't make OK. Christians come to God and repent and ask forgiveness and help to become like Christ who walked the earth as a man and didn't sin. God said this is my son(Jesus) whom I am well pleased. Jesus said if seen me you've seen the Father. Christians want to please God like Jesus here on earth but can't on their own. They need His help. God forgives sin only through His son who was sent, for our benefit, to pay the price for sin... So yes Christians might cuss. Not Christ-like tho & Its a sin.
Yes some Christians cuss. Does that make it right? No. Should they do it? No. However remember no matter what, we (as a people), should not judge someone who does cuss. Remember all sin is equal and we haves sinned too. Also remember that Jesus said "those who are without sin may cast the first stone". None of us are without sin, so no one can judge.
I love this example in James, where he's saying that Christians should not be known for a tendency to swear. His analogy of salt water and fresh water coming from the same spring (which is completely unnatural) shows how unnatural it would be for a Christian to praise God one minute and cuss someone out the next. If that seems really weird, it's supposed to. It is not natural for a true believer to curse-at least, it shouldn't be.

Some do. But Jehovah God's word the Bible says at Psalms 34:13 "Safeguard your tongue against what is bad..." As sinful humans we at times let our emotions overwhelm us. Still we shouldn't allow ourselves to lose control. God's word tells us just how much pain a sharp tongue causes. "For every species of wild beast as well as bird & creeping thing & sea creature is to be tamed by humankind. But the tongue, not one of mankind can get it tamed. An unruly injurious thing, it is full of death-dealing poison. With it we bless Jehovah, even the Father, & yet with it we curse men who have come into existence 'in the likeness of God.' Out of the same mouth come forth blessing & cursing. It is not proper, my brothers, for these things to go on occurring this way. A fountain does not cause the sweet & the bitter to bubble out of the same opening does it? My brothers, a fig tree cannot produce olives or a vine fig, can it? Neither can salt water produce sweet water."-James 3:7-12. We are encouraged at Ephesians 4: 29 "Let a rotten saying not proceed out of YOUR mouth. But whatever saying is good for building up as the need may be, that it may impart what is favorable to the hearers."
I know many people who call themselves Christians who cuss. But a true Christian should not. Some people say its because we are imperfect but that is just an excuse as if one couldn't stop cursing if he wanted to. “Put them all away from you, wrath, anger, badness, abusive speech, and obscene talk out of your mouth.” (Colossians 3:8) “Let fornication and uncleanness of every sort or greediness not even be mentioned among you, just as it befits holy people; neither shameful conduct nor foolish talking nor obscene jesting, things which are not becoming.” (Ephesians 5:3, 4) “Let all malicious bitterness and anger and wrath and screaming and abusive speech be taken away from you.” (Ephesians 4:31) “Let a rotten saying not proceed out of your mouth, but whatever saying is good for building up as the need may be, that it may impart what is favorable to the hearers.”—Ephesians 4:29.“put away all filthiness.” (James 1:21) God would not ask us to do this if it wasn't possible. Yes they do, I struggle with what kind of words come out of my mouth. Praise the Lord that the blood of Jesus has washed away my sings though. Just remember thinking a swear word is the same thing as saying it. If your heart wishes it then it's the same thing as doing the act.
