How do you get rid of a major head ache?

Take an Advil, put something warm/cold on your forehead or eyes and do something that relaxes you. Sit in a room alone with complete silence and don't read or anything just lay back and RELAX

2 liquid gel advil, or 4 regular solid advil, and sleep. I get them all the time and this is what i do. by the time i wake up, its gone. good luck

For a natural cure to headaches, drink water and eat sunflower seeds. The vast majority of headaches are simply caused by dehydration, so water often works. Sunflower seeds have a naturally-occurring chemical in them that also works to cure many headaches quite effectively. Should try to get unsalted seeds though, since salty seeds will contribute to dehydration.

Take an over-the-counter pain reliever.
Drink plenty of water.
Use caffeine carefully, it can be a double-edged sword.
Find a quiet, dark place to take a break.
Use a cool compress.
Massage your scalp, neck and ear lobes.

I usually take a small nap. And, when it's not possible to sleep, I take a light painkiller.

Take whatever pain relief you use, lay down in a quiet, dark, cool room, relax and breathe deeply.
The sooner you start the process the better it works.
Some do well with a cool washcloth over their foreheads also.
Or massaging their face or neck.
My hubby can sleep them off. I can't.

Advil and other brands contain toxins.
Also, whats causing a headache is not enough water(dehydration)

I'm gonna try the mint!
I have that doe t**** peppermint.
It is great.
I use it in my c-pap machine to hide the rubber smell of a new mask.
Also use it in my baked goods and candy.
It is strong tho!

Tea or anything with Caffeine in it if that doesn't work than start taking pill's if that doesn't work take a nap that you usually works for me. See a doctor try to see if you can get a really strong pill. They gave me Ibuprofen 800mg tablets

If you have a headache from migraine (Usually one side of the head often with nausea), normal paracetamol, Aspirin etc will not help. Use a muscle relaxant instead and take an hour rest. I find for Migraine (severe) type headaches, the brand NORGESIC works well for most people.
Obviously prevention is better than cure and as headaches are often the result of stress, relaxation, yoga and/or meditation can help prevent.

the cause of a SEVERE headache should be determined by a doctor. It can be a symptom of many neurological illnesses, e.g. High Blood pressure and stoke are 2 of them.

get plenty of sleep trust me ive been there. anything that is stressing you might be what caused the headaches in the first place. take an advil that should do the trick.

You may need to go into a chiropractor since you may be out of alignment. I would advise going into a chiropractor, taking extra strength Tylenol or ibuprofen. Good luck!

The best solution is to rest for a period of time the daily consumer health, nutrition food. Drink plenty of water and regular sleep and eating habits, in order to avoid migraines.
This may mean that you want to adjust your schedule, but migraine free day do practical value.
Don't overdraft your body. In order to avoid all types of stress. In acute cases, consult your doctor, drug therapy can relieve the pain.

I have a trick I use. OK, on the back of your head place your thumb and your middle finger on back of head. U grab the corners of your back hairline with your thumb spread to middle finger and press and pull up. Hold for ten seconds or so, like a pinch. Repeat this 5 or more times. You should notice that your head ache is gone. Sometimes it may hurt worse for a minute but it will go away. I have done this for all my girlfriends over the years. You can find a diagram of head and pressure points online or at library. I found my info at library on migraine head ache and pressure points. Best wishes.

I always found that drinking something with caffine helped with headaches.. Stay out of direct sunlight, make sure that you're not stressed out, and keep taking advil or tylenol or ibuprofen..

Advil or ibuprofen but that's optional. You can lay down with a hot towel on your forehead or sleep or drink some tea.

Take a BC , they sell them at CVS , Walgreens , Walmart , etc. They work GREAT ! I promise your headache will be gone in less then 10 minutes.
