If you take a clove of garlic and cut the tip off and put one end it in the that is infected ear and leave a little sticking out and squeeze the end sticking so the juice from the garlic will drip down in your ear leave it in for an hour....it works...also better the med..
I irrigate my ears every night with a few drops of tea tree oil. it is a natural antibiotic. I do not know if it will cure an ear infection, but I am prone to them, and since I started using it I have not had one since!
I have done this: lay down with the hurting ear up then have someone put Hydrogen Peroxide in your ear let it fizz in your ear. Then I have taken 1 part water and 1 part of alcohol 91% and put in the ear. I have also put swimmers ear drops.(buy at local drug store). If none of this works then go to the doctor.
Most doctors these days give anti-biotics which do not work instantly. If you can find a doctor in your area whom does it the old way, they stick a needle in your ear to release the pressure, it works instantly and the pain is gone however for a second it hurts very bad when they hit it with the needle. I have always had to go to a doctor to clear up an ear infection, unless you have some left over anti-biotics laying around you will probably have to just break down and go to the doctor.
LOL, I seriously had one a couple of days ago. Get some earache pain reliever, make sure it's also supposed to help heal, keep that in the ear, along with a cotton ball, take plenty ibuprofen, clean out ears, beware or water and wind, and you'll be fine.
Oil of oregano is used to get rid of infections like sinus, throat, ear and to help heal. Excellent to help prevent colds... Tea tree, if its a good quality essential oil, is too strong to go directly on the skin, it will burn you. If it doesn't its not a good quality and prob a lot of filler and perfume. Go to a good natural nutrition store or pharmacy and get a high quality oregano oil. Expect to pay around $30 zone for a small bottle.
If you do not have allergies to anti-biotics and don't have reoccurring infections you should just get anti-biotics from your doctor. You should not mess around with your hearing if you value it. I know everyone is concerned with anti biotic consumption but if its rarely used its not a big deal. Go to natural store and get pro biotic tablets to keep the flora up in your digestive tract, eat yoghurt.... No matter what you choose have it monitored by your doctor!
P.S. Don't put oil of oregano up your nose or in your ear. It has directions and practitioners will tell you what to do.
Between your middle ear and your throat there is a passage called the eustachian (say: yoo-stay-she-un) tube. The eustachian tubes (you have one on each side) keep pressure from building up by letting air move in and out of your middle ear. When you were young, especially before you turned 3, the eustachian tubes were very small and less able to keep germs out.
I have had ear infections since I was four and I have had 6 different surgeries in my ear since then to now. I am now 13. Whenever I get an ear infection my mother takes me to the ear, nose, throat specialist, they will probably prescribe you ear drops after the suction out your ear (don't worry it doesn't hurt, its just loud) but they will probably have you do the drops for about a week or two
Turtle ear oil from the health food store. Warm the bottle in your hand and put a few drops in your ear. Stop it up with cotton and lay down with the affected ear up for a half hour of so. Then clean it out. You will be dizzy at first when you sit up so be cautious.
