I suppose cows are good. They make milk and then when they die you can turn them into burgers and pants.

We had goats and sheep. The goats were a blast to play with.

Chickens are awesome. They can be trained but its neat to watch them run around and seem ti be very pleased when thrown feed. Also they eat bugs and kill mice and snakes and give you eggs and it does not take long for them to hatch new babies and when you get too many roosters just throw one in a pot and make dumplings lol. I have always enjoyed them as they help out with pest control and feed you too and they are so cheap to care for. Goats are good to. Just like a big dog except if you kettle them run around they will eat your garden and flowers but are good weed eaters. Rabbits are good to. cuddly creatures and breed fast and are good for eating but as with any small farm animals they do attract wild animals such as opposums and fox and snakes. so make good enclosures for them to keep them safe

Cows are great and reliable source for food, milk leather manure, and even clothes, horses will be great when there's no more gas in the world.

A mule or a donkey. They can be used as a pack animal, but they also protect the other barnyard animals by being very loud and aggressive towards foxes and coyotes.

Depends on what you want to do. Since you sound like you havent got a clue i suggest a lot of research into costs and pros and cons of various animals. What it takes to raise, feed, house, keep healthy and breed each type of animal. A list to research is: cattle, sheep, goats, chickens, ostrich/emu, alpaca, bison, donkeys/mules, horses. Feed and veterinatian costs are HUGE as are transport costs so keep all that in mind. Some animals are lucrative but basically chain you to the farm, like dairy farming and large chicken operations. Cant just take off on vacation and leave them. Farming is HARD work. Dont go into it blind and stupid.

I'm going with goats. You have good milk and meat. Small enough to handle easy butcher.

Get a goose or two. They are excellent "guard dogs". They honk at all intruders and even go after quite a few of them. They are pretty fun to watch too. A goat is great. Guinea hens, chickens, ducks, llama, and the usual hoof stock. It depends on if you want a working farm or if your are a gentleman farmer.

Get one or more of every animal that is considered a farm animal. Why not, if you have all that money to spend. Have fun, and enjoy.
