First interstate built was the I80. Its called the Eisenhower Interstate for reason. Eisenhower was in military and used Highways to get from NY to CA. It took him like four weeks or some absurd amount of time. So, he came up with an Interstate. When the Interstate was first built it was for only the military. Then trucks and military. Then eventually all was able to use it. Now we can cross the US in two days. The difference between all of them...The (red, white, blue) sign is interstate, obviously. An Interstate never stops. Highways(green and white signs) goes through towns, has lights and stop signs. Freeways,(white and black signs) although rarely have stop signs, sometimes they do. Going up 101 freeway in Santa Barbra there is a stop light.

I was a truck driver, now im electrician. I learned a bit out there driving. Kansas City caves etc. A lot of information I don't normally get to use. No one wants to know about electricity, driving and for the most part, (except you) interstates. Our lives teaches us things, therefor we all have something to contribute.
